snowhaus is an international architecture and design practice based in denmark.

klaus mayer is principal and founder with extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary design teams on projects ranging from the intimate private realm to mid and large scale commercial  projects. he is a registered architect in berlin and member of the danish association of architects. he has taught as an adjunct professor at the university of alaska anchorage and has lectured and been invited to be guest critic at institutions such as gsd, mit, university of michigan, tu munich and the royal danish academy . he studied architecture and received his degree at the university of applied science in stuttgart, germany. prior to founding his own practice in 2001 and subsequently the snowhaus, he spent working on many different project types and scales. while in alaska he was trustee of the alaska design forum from 1998 to 2018. klaus was named a loeb fellow at harvard university graduate school of design for the academic year 2004-2005.
